It was the eighth edition of DrupalCamp Poland. Thanks again to everyone who took part in the event and who wanted to participate in the sessions on Drupal, PHP, site-building and the Drupal community. We often work with clients who have great ideas which need to be systematised. The project vision must be clear and possible for further implementation. In the text below I describe how it all began and how the successive versions have changed over the years.

PHP is an interpreted programming language, which has long struggled to improve its performance, which was particularly bleak in comparison to other competing programming languages used in web development. Among what is new in PHP 8, the JIT compiler deserves special attention, as it was officially included in the latest version. Will this step be an actual breakthrough, or nothing but a blip, an interesting addition to the language? Let's see what real benefits it can bring and whether it will bring any real-world improvement of the performance of your application.

Drupal Commerce is a whole ecosystem thanks to which an online store can be constantly expanded. On drupal.org – the website where the Drupal community provides its solutions under the Open Source license – some modules can improve online sales depending on your individual needs. Below, I present nine examples of commerce modules that can be extremely helpful in everyday store management.
